On 13 March 2019 the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze held the meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia, Hidayat Nur Wahid and the Delegation.
The parties underlined good political relations and economic cooperation between the countries and emphasized inter-Parliamentary links and high level exchange visits.
Mr. Nur Wahid invited Mr. Kobakhidze to Indonesia.
Speaking about the bilateral relations, the parties noted that Indonesia opts to open the diplomatic representation in Georgia to facilitate to close political and economic cooperation.
The parties stressed economic ties. H. Nur Wahid stated that Indonesia is interested in future cooperation with Georgia.
The Speaker introduced the democratic reforms in Georgia and economic progress and emphasized importance of restoration of the transit function of the country.
In this context, the Speaker underlined Anaklia Port importance.
The parties expressed commitment for enhancement of relations.
