Welcome to the official website of the Embassy of Georgia in the Republic of Indonesia aiming to provide you with constantly updated and comprehensive information regarding ongoing events in Georgia, as well as the activities of the Embassy in the host country and countries of accreditation.
Diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Indonesia were established on January 25, 1993, and the Embassy of Georgia in Jakarta was established in 2012. The Embassy is accredited to the Republic of Singapore, Republic of Philippines and Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, as well as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
It is our priority to protect and promote the interests of our country and citizens. Therefore, we stand ready to assist you whenever needed, as well as listen to your advice and recommendations.
Furthermore, we strive to strengthen the image of Georgia as a country of democratic and progressive reforms, with a rich culture and centuries-old history, as well as promote investment and modern technologies and innovations.
The Southeast Asia is gaining an increasing importance. According to preliminary estimates, by 2030, it will become one of the largest regional economies in the world. Given this potential, within the framework of economic diplomacy, which is an important mechanism for fulfilling Georgia's foreign policy objectives, the Embassy is actively developing ties and cooperation with relevant countries, especially in the context of post-pandemic economic recovery.
We hope that the efforts of the Embassy, not only to intensify the dynamics of the existing relations, but also to take the cooperation in various fields to a qualitatively new level, will yield mutually beneficial results.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia
