STATEMENT OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF GEORGIA ON THE SO-CALLED "ELECTIONS" CONDUCTED BY THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION IN THE TEMPORARILY OCCUPIED TERRITORIES OF UKRAINE

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia condemns the so-called "elections" conducted by the Russian Federation on 8 - 10 September 2023, in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine - Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions, as well as in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, which is a gross violation of the norms of international law and the Ukrainian legislation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia reaffirms its unwavering support for  the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
