The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili and the Minister of Economy and Industry of the State of Israel, Nir Barkat signed a joint declaration on completion of the technical and economic feasibility study for a free trade agreement between Georgia and the State of Israel.
The meeting focused on important issues of Georgia-Israel bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The sides discussed a wide range of relations between the two countries and outlined the ways to further deepen cooperation between Israel and Georgia in the field of trade, economy and tourism.

Within the framework of the meeting, Ilia Darchiashvili introduced the state diaspora strategy and emphasized the priority importance of working on diaspora issues.
At the meeting, the sides highly appreciated the existing bilateral cooperation and long-term friendship between Georgia and Japan.

Before the official meetings planned within the framework of the visit, the Danish Foreign Minister was hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili in an informal atmosphere.
According to Darchiashvili, bilateral relations between the two countries have now reached the highest point, which is evidenced by Denmark’s political decision to open an embassy in Georgia.
On 15 May 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, together with his Danish counterpart, participated in the official opening ceremony of the Danish Embassy to Georgia.
