Meeting with the Secretary-General of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly

Ambassador of Georgia Tornike Nozadze held a meeting with the Secretary-General of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of cooperation between Georgia and AIPA, as well as prospects for its further development. Particular attention was given to strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation and expanding political dialogue within the framework of multilateral cooperation.

The Ambassador of Georgia emphasized the country’s interest in deepening relations with the Southeast Asian region and highlighted the important role of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly in promoting regional stability, democratic governance, and parliamentary diplomacy.

For his part, the Secretary-General of AIPA positively assessed the potential for cooperation with Georgia and expressed readiness to support the strengthening of institutional ties and the development of new formats of practical cooperation.
