PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVES TO THE UN VISIT GEORGIA
The Permanent Representatives of various countries to the UN arrived in Georgia on 30 April and will remain in the country until 5 May. The diplomats were hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili.
During the meeting conducted in an informal atmosphere, the sides discussed Georgia's foreign policy goals, ongoing reforms in the country, and Georgia's cooperation with both the United Nations and the member states of the organization.
The ambassadors will meet with representatives of the legislative and executive authorities of Georgia, including with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili and the Chairman of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili to review governance-related reforms and the country’s important economic steps.
The Ambassadors will visit the Tserovani settlement for internally displaced persons, as well as the village of Odzisi near the occupation line, to explore the situation on the ground.
They will also travel to Batumi for a meeting with representatives of the government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
