ILIA DARCHIASHVILI HAS MET WITH HIS ISRAELI COUNTERPART, ELI COHEN
On 3 May 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili held a meeting with his Israeli counterpart, Eli Cohen.
The sides discussed a wide range of relations between the two countries and outlined the ways to further deepen cooperation between Israel and Georgia in the field of trade, economy and tourism.
Within the framework of the meeting, the Agreement between the Government of Georgia and the Government of the State of Israel on cooperation in the field of tourism was signed. The importance of signing the "Joint Declaration on the Completion of the Feasibility Study on the Free Trade Agreement between Georgia and the State of Israel" was also mentioned.
Discussions focused on the security environment of the region and across the world. Ilia Darchiashvili thanked his colleague for his steadfast support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
During the meeting, the sides agreed to continue active cooperation on various issues on the agenda.
