Official Reception Dedicated to Georgia’s Independence Day

On May 26, 2026, an official reception dedicated to Georgia’s Independence Day was held in Jakarta, the capital of the Republic of Indonesia. The event brought together representatives of Indonesia’s legislative and executive branches, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, as well as representatives of the business and arts communities.

The guests were addressed by the Ambassador of Georgia to Indonesia, Tornike Nozadze, and the Guest of Honor - Indonesia’s Minister of Human Rights, Natalius Pigai.

In his remarks, Ambassador spoke about the significance of Georgia’s freedom, sovereignty, and national identity, highlighting the country’s rich cultural heritage, centuries-old wine-making traditions, and renowned hospitality. He also emphasized the friendly relations between Georgia and Indonesia and the promising prospects for further bilateral cooperation.

During the reception, the President University ensemble performed the national anthems of Georgia and Indonesia, along with renowned Georgian and Indonesian musical pieces.
